Khatta Ghost


Ingredients
  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Cinnamon stick 1
  • Button red chilies 5 – 6
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Tamarind pulp ¼ cup
  • Water 1 ½ glass
  • Fresh coconut 100 gm
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Whole black pepper ½ tsp
  • Fennel seeds crushed ½ tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • Heat ¼ cup oil in a pan, add 1 chopped onion with 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Fry well till golden brown.Add ½ kg mutton and fry well till its color turn to golden brown.Now add 1 tbsp chili powder, ½ tsp black pepper, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp turmeric, ½ tsp all spice and 5 – 6 button red chilies. Fry for 2 – 3 minutes and add 1 glass of water. Cook for 20 – 25 minutes.
  • Blend together ¼ cup tamarind pulp, 100 gm fresh coconut and ½ cup water. Add this paste to the mutton mixture.Turn the flame high and fry well.Also add ½ tsp crushed fennel seeds and fry well till oil comes on top.Dish it out, sprinkle with a little all spice powder and serve.
