Chat Patey Rice


Ingredients
  • 300 grams rice
  • 1 cup boiled peas
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 4 aniseeds
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • ¼ bunch coriander
  • ¼ cup oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 100 grams plums
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp whole cumin
  • 2 tbsp red chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • In a pan, add whole cumin, aniseeds and salt in it with already soaked rice in it and bring it to boil. Sieve and keep it aside.Now in another pan, boil tomatoes 2 to 3 times and then sieve and keep it aside.Then finely chop green chillies and coriander.
  • In a wok, heat oil and fry ginger garlic paste until golden brown. Add tomatoes, chopped green chillies, coriander, peas, turmeric, ground cumin and ¼ cup water in it and cook for 2-3 minutes. 
  • When spices are well stirred and combined properly, add in boiled rice in it. Increase flames and mix all the ingredients together. Delicious Chat Patey Rice is ready to serve.
